Open the templateA template is not an invoicing system
A template solves today’s invoice. It is useful when you are starting out, issuing a one-off document or still deciding which system to use.
What it cannot do is remember. There is no numbering series, counter or accounting behind it: you track the numbers yourself in a spreadsheet or from memory, and the quarterly IGI register remains empty until someone prepares it. Nothing warns you when two invoices share a number or one is missing.
For an activity that issues a couple of documents a month this is perfectly viable. From there, the time saved by the template is spent rebuilding the quarter.
When the template falls short
In AndCompta, numbers are assigned automatically without gaps, IGI enters the quarterly register as you invoice and the PDF you issued is preserved exactly as it was.
