Comparison

AndCompta and Odoo

Odoo is very broad and very flexible: accounting, sales, inventory, production and much more, with open source and integrators in Andorra that do localisations. If you need operational processes beyond accounting, the comparison is not fair to us.

Cells marked “Unverified” are features we have not confirmed directly in the product. We prefer leaving them blank to guessing.

02

When AndCompta makes sense

You want a tool that works for the Principality without a prior implementation project or dedicated maintainer, and that your accounting firm can use without retraining.

When Odoo makes sense

You need inventory, production, point of sale or customized processes, and you have someone to maintain it for you.

04 · Migration

If you decide to change

It depends almost entirely on how customised your installation is. A standard instance exports cleanly; one with custom modules requires reviewing every module before promising anything.

What to ask them Request the list of installed and customised modules together with the accounting export.

05 · Method

How this table is built

A person manually checked every row against the other tool’s public documentation; the review date appears at the top of the page. When we could not confirm a cell, it says “Unverified” instead of showing a cross.

We work this way because the usual industry comparison—a column of green ticks beside red crosses—is almost always a sign that nobody verified the claims. An honest gap tells you exactly what to ask the other provider before deciding.

If you find an error, send us the source and we will correct it with the correction date. We make corrections even when they make us look worse; a table updated only when it suits us is worthless.

06 · Questions

About the change

I have custom modules. Can they be migrated?

The data can be migrated; the business logic of a custom module cannot. If part of your process lives in a customisation, decide whether that process changes or Odoo remains your operational system.

Is AndCompta an ERP?

No, and it does not aim to be one. It has no inventory valuation, manufacturing or project management. It is invoicing, accounting and tax software for Andorra.

Can I host it myself?

No. AndCompta is a managed service. In return, exporting your data is free and does not require an active subscription.

The quick way to decide

Open an account, import three months of invoices and see whether the figures reconcile with what you expected. That is more reliable than any comparison table.
