Pro forma invoice
A document with the appearance of an invoice that has no accounting or tax effects.
It informs the client of the amount before the transaction, often to request advance payment. It does not generate revenue or output IGI.
An example
Send a pro forma invoice so the client can make the transfer, then issue the final invoice after payment.
The typical mistake
Posting it as an invoice. A pro forma invoice is not revenue.
How it appears in AndCompta
It has a separate workflow and numbering and does not affect the books. Converting it creates an invoice draft rather than an issued invoice.
