NRT
The tax registration number that identifies a person or entity to the Andorran authorities.
It consists of one letter, six digits, and a check letter. The first letter identifies the taxpayer category, such as an individual, company, public entity, or non-resident. Your NRT—and the client's where applicable—must appear on invoices.
An example
An invoice issued by an SLU to another Andorran company must show both NRTs: the supplier's and the client's.
The typical mistake
Confusing it with the Spanish NIF. The purpose is similar, but the formats and registries differ, so software that validates a NIF will not validate an NRT correctly.
How it appears in AndCompta
Each contact record includes its NRT, and the format is validated on save. When you issue an invoice, your NRT and the client's are inserted automatically rather than relying on someone to remember them.
