Credit

The right-hand column of an accounting entry, where the credits for each operation are recorded.

Among other things, credits record increases in liabilities and revenue. Total credits must equal total debits.

An example

On a sale, the revenue and output-IGI accounts are credited.

The typical mistake

Reading credit as "money I have". Like debit, it is a bookkeeping side.
