Cells marked “Unverified” are features we have not confirmed directly in the product. We prefer leaving them blank to guessing.

02

When AndCompta makes sense

You want a browser-based managed service with centralised updates, multi-entity and accounting-firm collaboration, published pricing and a full export with supporting evidence.

When AccoDev makes sense

You prefer desktop software, its mature official-form, reconciliation and OCR workflows, or you already use the ProgDev ecosystem and support.

04 · Migration

If you decide to change

A migration from desktop software must be tested on a copy, never directly against the live database. We reconcile the journal, balances, taxes and attachments before opening the financial year in AndCompta.

What to ask them Request export formats for the journal, chart of accounts, master records, outstanding items, fixed assets and attachments, together with a verifiable backup.

05 · Method

How this table is built

A person manually checked every row against the other tool’s public documentation; the review date appears at the top of the page. When we could not confirm a cell, it says “Unverified” instead of showing a cross.

We work this way because the usual industry comparison—a column of green ticks beside red crosses—is almost always a sign that nobody verified the claims. An honest gap tells you exactly what to ask the other provider before deciding.

If you find an error, send us the source and we will correct it with the correction date. We make corrections even when they make us look worse; a table updated only when it suits us is worthless.

06 · Questions

About the change

Do I have to uninstall AccoDev to test AndCompta?

No. The test runs in parallel with read-only access to the source. Keep the software and its backup until you have validated a complete close.

Does AndCompta generate the same official files?

We do not assume so. Compare each form and file format with what you submit today; partial coverage remains labelled as partial until it passes the relevant verification.

What about invoices read by OCR?

We migrate the document and available evidence, but do not rely on the OCR as approved accounting. The fields and journal entries are revalidated during reconciliation.

The quick way to decide

Open an account, import three months of invoices and see whether the figures reconcile with what you expected. That is more reliable than any comparison table.
